Consent, when the client is a child: 

  1. the information from section A Informed Consent Guidelines for Immunization (gov.mb.ca) must be given to the child’s parent or guardian;
  2. if the child is under 16 years of age, unless the immunization provider reasonably believes the child is able to understand the nature and effect of the information and is able to appreciate the consequences of a decision; or is 16 years of age or older, if the immunization provider reasonably believes the child is not able to understand the nature and effect of the information or able to appreciate the consequences of a decision.
